Más de 3000 delfines atravesando las Rías Baixas
Es bastante habitual el poder observar delfines en nuestra zona: ría de Vigo, Pontevedra o Islas Atlánticas, pero durante este mes de Julio, el fenómeno fue extraordinario. De hecho se trata del mayor grupo de delfines jamás visto por el Instituto para el Estudio de los Delfines Mulares (BDRI). Se calcula que más de 3000 delfines comunes, que discurrían de norte a sur de Galicia, pasando a unas 10 millas náuticas de las Islas Cíes. Una manada de tal magnitud, se puede ver a veces en California o Sudáfrica

Superpod of thousands of dolphins spotted off the Galician coast (NW Spain) on thursday 5th July.The biggest group of dolphins ever seen by our research team was observed off the Rías Baixas, Galicia (NW Spain) on Thursday, July 5th. Thousands of common dolphins spanning across several miles of ocean. These large aggregations often occur where food is in high abundance. It's always amazing to observe dolphins gracefully leaping in and out of the surface of the water. Imagine, then, the excitement of seeing not dozens, not hundreds, but more than 3000 of these cetaceans around us.
